Why Your Bedsheet Matters More Than You Think
You spend roughly 7–8 hours every day on your bedsheet. That's a third of your life in contact with a single piece of fabric — and yet most people pick one as quickly as toothpaste. We've been manufacturing bedsheets at Luxmi Narayan Tilak Raj (LNTR), Panipat for over 50 years. Here's what actually separates a bedsheet that stays soft and vibrant through years of washing from one that pills and fades in a month.
The Gulzar Series — Our Everyday Standard
The Gulzar Series uses 210TC cotton-blend fabric with reactive print dyes, cloud-soft finishing, double-stitched hems and pre-shrunk weave. The 210TC count is the ideal balance for Indian homes — breathable enough for summers, durable enough for daily use, dries fast, and resists wrinkles. Colours are chemically bonded to the fibre (reactive dye) — not coated on top — which is why they stay vibrant after 50+ washes where cheaper bedsheets fade in 5.
The Kinoori Collection — Elevated Everyday
The Kinoori Series is our premium step-up — richer prints, heavier fabric weight, and a softer hand feel from the first wash. Designed for bedrooms where aesthetics matter as much as comfort. Available in select sizes and prints alongside the Gulzar range below.
210 TC — Is It Enough for Indian Homes?
Very high thread count sheets (400+ TC) are denser, heavier and trap heat — the last thing you want in a Panipat summer or Delhi heat wave. 200–220 TC cotton-blend is the sweet spot for India: it breathes, washes easily, dries fast, and stays soft longer than ultra-high TC fabrics that stiffen after repeated washing.
